I should like to filter watchdog log messages in a time span.

My plan is to create a module that displays():

  • Critical and error log messages last hour
  • Display number log messages last day
  • Show graphs over the last days
  • And more...

This should make it easier to correlate bug reports with this information.

However since the timestamp column dosent have an index its a heavy SQL query to filter out messages in time spans. Could you add an index to timestamp coulmn?

So I dont have to patch core with this code:
db_add_index('watchdog', 'timestamp', array('timestamp'));
